extensions

Our hair extensions are applied by taking horizontal sections starting at the nape area and keeping the sections 1 inch to 1.5 inches apart.  Your extension artist will then work on subsections, which includes the application of bonding resin with 15 to 20 strands of hair at a time. The resin used is from the highest quality of bonding material and is extremely safe to use on your hair. The subsections will then be smoothed out to form a small clear tube that holds the pieces of hair together. Once a full horizontal row is completed, the process is repeated until the desired look is achieved. 

What can hair extensions do for my hair?
Hair extensions can make your hair appear longer and thicker, in just a matter of hours! It will give you the look of long, full hair that you have been craving, without waiting for your hair to grow.

Are they painful or uncomfortable?
Not at all! Our extensions are applied in small smooth seals. Most salon clients don't notice any difference between the hair extension and their natural hair.

 What are clip on extensions?
Clip on extensions are the type that are only used for a special occasion such as an engagement, a birthday or a night out on the town and can be easily removed. They can be used over and over again, but they don’t tend to look and feel natural.

Will the extensions look natural and will the color and texture match my own hair?
Yes, we are able to match the hair extensions to your own hair and place them in such a way that will make them look very natural. We offer custom hair color blending with over 35 natural hair color options to select from. Since the hair we use is not pre-bonded, we can use up to 5 different colors in each tiny hair extension section. This also eliminates 'striped' looking hair extensions next to your natural highlight.  It will give you a more natural and believable -- root to end look!

Can extensions damage my hair?
No. If you are wearing our extensions, even fine and damaged hair can become healthier. The hair extensions protect your hair from curling irons, blow dryers, styling heat and environmental damage. Due to their own unique bonding applicator system, our extensions are easily removed and will not cause breakage to your hair during the hair extension removal process.

Can I treat my hair the same as always?
Yes, however, you need to be gentle on the roots where the bonds are. The recommended products that we carry will preserve the integrity of your extensions better than others.  You’ll need to dry the extensions after washing your hair then gently brush and tie them before going to bed.  

Can I get my extensions colored or highlighted?
Yes, you can color and/or highlight your extensions. However, we don’t recommend doing that more than once. Many clients like highlighting their extensions rather than highlighting their own hair.  Highlights on extensions stand out more and you can have fun with them by choosing different colors from blonde and red to pink and purple. 

How long do hair extensions last?
It is recommended that you do not leave them in for more than 12 to 16 weeks.  When left in longer, they will begin to tangle up in your natural hair and therefore become extremely hard to remove.  

How soon can I get them redone once I take them out?
We recommend that you give your self a break for one to two weeks before getting new extensions put in.

How much do hair extensions cost?
The price usually ranges from $1,500 to $3,000 (including the hair and application).  Pricing depends on what the client wants to achieve.  Factors include current length and thickness vs. desired length, thickness and the number of colors used to match your natural hair color.

How do I maintain my extensions at home?
Our extensions artist will fully educate you on taking care of your hair extensions. The hairstylist will recommend professional hair care products, brushes, combs and appliances for you to use at home. Hairstyling is actually very similar to how you style your hair without extensions. It's fun but more importantly, it's easy!
